A 2013-as Moto2-világbajnokság a sorozat negxedik idénye volt, ami a MotoGP betétfutamaként szerepelt. A bajnokságot a Nemzetközi Motor Szövetség (FIM) szervezte és bonyolítja le, ez a szakág legmagasabb szintű bajnoksága. A 2013-as Moto2-es bajnok Pol Espargaró lett.

Az összes résztvevő Dunlop abroncsokkal és a Honda által kifejlesztett CBR600RR soros négyes motorral teljesítette a szezont.[1]

Versenynaptár[szerkesztés]

2012. szeptember 19-én a FIM 18 futamból álló ideiglenes versenynaptárt adott ki.[33][34] November 23-án a naptárt frissítették, miután megerősítették, hogy az argentin nagydíj visszatérését 2014-re halasztják.[35][36] Az amerikai Austinban található Circuit of the Americas versenypályán megrendezett Amerika nagydíj felváltotta a portugál nagydíjat, amelyet 2000 óta rendeztek Estorilban. Az Amerikai Egyesült Államok ennek köszönhetően két futamnak adott otthont, a másik az indianapolisi volt, amelyet az Indianapolis Motor Speedwayen rendeztek meg.
