Az Illigera a babérvirágúak (Laurales) rendjébe, ezen belül a Hernandiaceae családjába tartozó nemzetség.
Előfordulásuk
[szerkesztés]Az Illigera-fajok Afrika nyugati és középső részein, valamint Madagaszkáron fordulnak elő. Délkelet-Ázsiában, a Fülöp-szigeteken, Indonéziában és Pápua Új-Guineán is fellelhetőek.
