stubs
[szerkesztés]- From my point of view it makes good sense to write very short stubs in national Wikipedias that link to longer articles in Wikipedias in other languages, as there are for instance many Hungarians who understand English but prefer to use the Hungarian WP. In that case it is helpful for them if they learn that there is no meaningful article in Hungarian yet, but one in English (or French, German etc.) Additionally sooner or later there will be someone who translates part of that foreign language article in Hungarian. - I think that is an important method to make smaller WPs grow fasterand therefor would like to spread the idea.
- Thanx, we grow fast enough. We don't neeed lot stubs. From my point of view it makes wrong sense to write lot stubs. We have enough stubs and they make us very sweat completing them. Please write as long articles as you can. Thank you very much: Gubb ✍ 2005. szeptember 20., 21:28 (CEST)
Stubs again
[szerkesztés]Hi & welcome to Hungarian Wikipedia.
I think your idea would be good if ours were a larger wikipedia, where most of the important articles are already written. But this is still a small wiki, and creating stubs of all the important things would result in 99% of our articles being mere stubs. Mass creation of stubs is generally discouraged in all Wikipedias IMHO.
Also, in spite of what national statistics say, the percentage of Hungarians who actually understand foreign languages is not that high, and those who understand other languages will eventually discover the other wikipedias anyway, since all of them are linked together with countless links. For the majority, who don't speak languages, the stubs with interwiki links would be of no use at all.

- Thanks for your friedly welcome! (Though it's clear that except from pictures I said hello and bye bye at the same time.
As I don't know your situation you must know better. - I would only suggest to have no bad conscience if you translate some articles. --Cethegus 2005. szeptember 21., 15:36 (CEST)
