Cite web -> CitWeb[szerkesztés]

Why did you change it? Both are widely used, {{cite web}} is even more widely than {{CitWeb}} (10,000+ vs. ~7400). I think community discussion is needed for any change (I plan to gather it when it’s likely to get attention, i.e. not when we are full of other arguments). – Tacsipacsi vita 2018. február 1., 15:08 (CET)Válasz

@Tacsipacsi: I have changed it back. The current configuration was broken so I just tried to fix it as quickly as possible but I am not familiar with which are the best templates to use so I just guessed. If you would have a look at the message and see if there are any better ones to use, that would be great! There are some that look like they would be good to use (i.e. Sablon:Cite_video) but can't be used because they don't have template data. Mvolz (WMF) vita 2018. február 1., 16:48 (CET)Válasz
I don’t understand you. What was broken? {{cite web}} has TemplateData since almost four years. And the citation tool has worked for two years, including recently. I neither heard about any breaking changes in the Tech News.
I will try to deal with TemplateData, but I think we have more cite templates than ideal – for example, {{cite video}} not only doesn’t have TemplateData, but its documentation is not in Hungarian, furthermore, the template itself isn’t fully localized (i.e. it uses some English-language citation style, not a Hungarian one). – Tacsipacsi vita 2018. február 1., 22:41 (CET)Válasz
It has always been required that all the keys are present in the message, see: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Citoid/Enabling_Citoid_on_your_wiki#Step_2.b:_Configuring_a_special_MediaWiki_message
This is because Citoid looks for the itemType in the data and tries to match it to a template. So for instance, if a user made this request: https://hu.wikipedia.org/api/rest_v1/data/citation/mediawiki/https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov%2Fpubmed%2F11762573 You can see that the itemType is "journalArticle". If there is no 'journalArticle' key in the message, then it will not be able to insert a template because it doesn't know which template to use. So every possible itemType must have a template listed. Only using a few templates or even only using one is fine, it just has to be listed multiple times, for each key. If you could review the templates I picked for each itemType that would be great, and if they are satisfactory we can improve their citoid maps as well (they are currently missing a few values but for the most part will work.)
