Stema comunei Cristesti, potrivit anexei nr. 1.3, se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat.

În partea superioară, pe fond argintiu, se află un porumbel albastru cu o ramură în cioc, aflat între două vase romane de culoare rosie; ramura se termină în mâner de spadă în formă de cruce.

În vârful scutului, pe fond albastru, se află stilizat capul zeitei Junona, de aur.

Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificatiile elementelor însumate:

Porumbelul reprezintă simbolul dorintei de pace si al convietuirii armonioase între locuitori.

Terminatia în formă de cruce a ramurii aminteste de vechea denumire a localitătii, respectiv Sancta Cruce, atestată documentar în anul 1332.

Cele două vase cu formă identică reproduc o valoroasă piesă arheologică din ceramică, din perioada romană.

Capul zeitei Junona, protectoare a familiei si a împăcării între etnii (Matronalia), semnifică un vechi vestigiu arheologic.

Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
