Iris Vineyards Near Eugene, Oregon Richard Boyles and Pamela Frye planted Chalice Vineyard at Iris Hill from 1996 to 1998 on what would become their family’s estate. Located in the Lorane Valley, 20 minutes southwest of Eugene, Oregon, the vineyard is ideally situated in the cool climate of the Oregon Coastal Range foothills, allowing the grapes to mature slowly while maintaining the proper acid balance that is essential for producing the finest Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. In 2004, Arpad Walker took over management of the vineyard and oversaw its expansion over the last decade. (www.irisvineyards.com/) |
