English: Emblem of Karafuto Prefecture (the present south Sakhalin), used from 1911 till 1945. Three birch (樺 kaba) leaves and fruits form the character 太 (futo), making the rebus of 樺太 (Karafuto).
日本語: 樺太庁章。現在の南サハリンで1911年から1945年まで使用された。3つの樺の葉と実で「太」の字を表している。
