Összefoglaló

Ferenc JOACHIM (1882-1964), Hungarian (Magyar) artist painter and his brother Jozsef JOACHIM (1897-1954), Hungarian (Magyar) artist sculptor, had their brief biographies published in 1935 in a lexicon written and edited by Éber László (1871-1935) who died some 71 years ago. This is a photocopy of the brief biographical notes for the two JOACHIM brothers in which their birthyears are different by one year from those years given in other references, where Ferenc Joachim is listed as born in 1882 and Jozsef Joachim is listed as born in 1897. This author believes that the other references are more likely to be correct in this respect.

The lexicon publication by Éber László (1871-1935) is as follows.

"Művészeti Lexikon – Épitészet, Szobrászat, Festészet, Iparművészet." Szerkesztette: Éber László, Társszerkesztő: Gombosi György, 2 kötet, Kiadó: Gyözö Andor, Budapest, 1935; 21.217.-Királyi Magyar Egyetemi Nyomda, F.; Thiering Richárd. (References to JOACHIM Ferenc, and to his brother JOACHIM József, are in Volume I on page 513.)

( English translation: "Arts Lexicon - Architecture, Sculpture, Painting, Industrial Arts," Editor: Éber László, Associate Editor: Gombosi György, in 2 volumes, Publisher: Gyözö Andor, Budapest, 1935; 21.217.-Royal Hungarian University Press, F.; Thiering Richárd. (References to JOACHIM Ferenc, and to his brother JOACHIM József, are in Volume I on page 513.) )

The author and editor Éber László (1871-1935) died in 1935 which is more than 70 years ago and therefore his work can be considered in the public domain.
