Roman limes along the Danube[szerkesztés]

Hi! We apparently do have an Ancient Rome portal, but I don't know how active it actually is. The German article on the Szentendre burgus suggests that the remains are entirely beneath the ground and there's nothing to see there. One of the most tireless Hungarian Wikipedists, however, lives in Szentendre, so maybe he can help you with photos, if he's willing to and got a camera. I haven't found other people who live to the North along the Danube, but there's another very active contributor from the opposite side, from Dunakeszi. BTW, according to the German article on the Dunakeszi fortress, this is a field with burial mounds. It might well be that as well, but the caption in the Hungarian article on Dunakeszi says that this is a training ground for racehorses, the text beside the picture reinforces that, and the original documentation does not mention burial mounds. (To further complicate the matter, the esperato version claims it to be an aerodrome. :-)) Best of lucks, --Auguste nu! 2012. március 12., 20:05 (CET) (This is an article on the Hungarian stretch of the limes.)Válasz
