A 2010-es GP2-szezon a sorozat hatodik idénye volt. Az előző szezont követően öt pilóta: Nico Hülkenberg, Vitalij Petrov, Lucas di Grassi, Kobajasi Kamui és Karun Chandhok a Formula–1-be távoztak.

A szezon vége előtt két futammal bebiztosította bajnoki címét a Rapax venezuelai pilótája, Pastor Maldonado.

Előzetes versenynaptár[szerkesztés]

A 2010-es szezonban a versenyek egy kivételével mind 2010-es Formula–1 világbajnokság európai versenyeinek betétfutamai voltak.[50] Azonban 2010. május 28-án GP2 Sorozat főszervezője, Bruno Michel bejelentette, hogy a portimaoi Portugál GP-t törölték a versenynaptárból. Indoklása szerint "a pálya igazgatósága nem teljesítette maradéktalanul a szerződésben foglalt kötelezettségeit. "[51]
