A Nickelodeon Közép- és Kelet-Európa a Nickelodeon gyerektévé Közép- és Kelet-Európai változata. Magyarországon kezdetben még nem került be a három piacvezető gyerektévé közé (Minimax, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel).[3] A csatorna angol, magyar, cseh, román, szerb, horvát, szlovén, bolgár és orosz hangsávval érhető el. Magyarországon az R-time[4] (korábban az Atmedia) és Romániában a Thematic Channels[5] értékesíti a reklámidőt. A kereskedelmi reklámokat külön kép- és hangsávon sugározzák. Cseh médiahatóság alá tartozik.[4] A magyar változat csatornahangja 2010-től kivétel nélkül minden ajánlóban és szignálban Tokaji Csaba és Solecki Janka[6]. HD minőségben is elérhető angolul.

Története

Kezdetek

Magyarországon 1998. augusztus 1-jén a Nickelodeon az azóta megszűnt Msat csatornán kezdte el a hazai sugárzását,[7] eleinte 4, majd 1999. április 25-étől napi 12 órában. 1998. novemberében Máltán és 1998. december 24-én Romániában indult.

Magyarországon 1999. október 6.-án lett külön csatorna 2002-ig amikor is beleolvadt az orosz változatba, de 2010-ben szétváltak.

A 2010-es évek

Csehországban 2010. február 10.-én indult és ezen a napon összeolvadt a máltai, a román, a cseh, és a magyar változat. Február 13.-án pedig arculatot és logót váltott.[8] 2010-ben a következő öt sorozatot mutatták be: A Madagaszkár pingvinjei, Tündéri keresztszülők, V, mint Viktória, True Jackson VP, Ni Hao Kai-lan.

2011. november 18.-án elindul Horvátországban is. 2011-ben a következő sorozatokat mutatta be: Kung Fu Panda – A rendkívüliség legendája, Power Rangers Samurai, Fanboy és Chum Chum, Anubisz házának rejtélyei, Supah Nindzsák, Big Time Rush, Bubbi Guppik, Umizoomi csapat.

2012. márciusában Ukrajnában is elérhető lett. 2012. július 20.-án elindult a magyar Nickelodeon Facebook-oldal[9]. 2012-ben a következő sorozatokat mutatta be: S.T.R.A.M.M. – A kém kutya, Fiúkkal az élet, Korra legendája, Fred, Bucket és Skinner hősies kalandjai, Sheen bolygója, Winx Club.

2013. április 28.-án Szerbiában és 2013. november 4.-én Bulgáriában indult el a csatorna.[10] 2013. október 25-án a Digi kábeles és műholdas csatornakiosztásába bekerült a Nickelodeon.[11] Novemberben néhány új arculati elemet vezetek be. 2013-ban a következő sorozatokat mutatta be: Tini Nindzsa Teknőcök, Tickety Toc, Marvin, Marvin[12], Robot és Mumus[12], Született kémek[13], A Mancs őrjárat[14].

2014-ben a következő sorozatokat mutatta be: Rabbids: Invázió[15], Sam és Cat[15], Sanjay és Craig[15], A Hathaway kísértetlak[15], Rakéta majmok[15], Béci és Réci[15], A Thunderman család[15].

2015. április 1.-én 16:9-es képarányra váltott. 2015-ben a következő sorozatokat mutatta be: Dóra és barátai[16], Láng és a szuperverdák[16], Veszélyes Henry[16], Csőrös Harvey[16], Nicky, Ricky, Dicky és Dawn[16], Bella és a Bulldogok[16], Shimmer és Shine, a dzsinn testvérek[16].

2016 nyarán a logó a képernyő bal felső sarkából a jobb felsőbe került. 2016-ban a következő sorozatokat mutatta be: ALVINNN!!! és a mókusok[17], 100 dolog a gimi előtt[17], Game Shakers[17], A Lármás család[17], Rocksuli[17].

2017. június 26.-án a Nickelodeon új arculatot vezetett be. A logó visszakerült bal felső sarokba. 2017-ben a következő sorozatokat mutatta be: A legboszibb boszi[18], Regal Academy[18], Bunsen, a bestia[18], Nella, a hercegnő lovag[18], BOSZI Akadémia[18]
