Az Egyesült Államok Kongresszusának képviselőháza 435 szavazati joggal rendelkező képviselőből, valamint 6 szavazati joggal nem rendelkező delegáltból áll. Az egyes államok képviselőinek számát a tíz évenként lebonyolított népszámlálás adatai, valamint az állam kiterjedése alapján határozzák meg. Ennek megfelelően a 115. kongresszusban Kaliforniának van a legtöbb, 53 képviselője, és mindössze egy képviselővel rendelkezik Alaszka, Delaware, Montana, Dél-Dakota, Észak-Dakota, Vermont, valamint Wyoming állam. A képviselőház tagjait minden páros év novemberében választják meg, mandátumukat a megválasztott képviselők január 3-án kezdik meg. A 115. kongresszus tagjait 2016. november 8-án választották meg, a következő kongresszus tagjainak megválasztására 2018. november 6-án kerül sor.

115. kongresszus 2017. január 3-a 12:00-tól 2019. január 3-án 12:00-ig[1] ülésezik.[2] A képviselőház többségét ebben az időszakban a republikánusok adják. A képviselőház elnöke a republikánus Paul Ryan.

A legidősebb képviselő az 1929-ben született John Conyers (Michigan 13.), aki egyben a legrégebben, 1965 óta tagja a testületnek. A legfiatalabb az 1984-ben született Elise Stefanik (New York 21.).
