A hűtőközegek táblázata a korszerű, az elavult, és a tiltott anyagokat is tartalmazza Ezek többnyire halogénezett szénhidrogének.

Jelölésük[szerkesztés]
A hűtőközegeket az R számmal jelölik. Az R betű az angol refrigerant rövidítése, tekintettel arra, hogy az elterjedt Freon védett ipari elnevezés, és ezért általánosan nem szabad használni (a duPont védjegye). A hűtőközegek listája tartalmazza az ASHRAE (Amerikai fűtési, hűtési és klimatizálási szervezet) jelölését, tartalmazza az IUPAC elnevezést, a molekulaképletet, a CAS regisztrációs számot, az üvegházhatást okozó gázokra vonatkozó utalást, az ózonlebontó potenciált, és a globális felmelegedés 100 évre becsült értékét.

Az IUPAC azonosítókat a múltban többféle formában használták; kötőjellel, és kötőjel nélküli formában. Ahol a magyar Wikipédiában született már szócikk, ott a vegyület magyar neve, a többi vegyület a szabályos kémiai nevével szerepel [1].
